Ellon Meadows Football Club was established in 1999 when Ellon Dons FC and Ellon Colts joined forces with the primary aim of encouraging and fostering the development of Juvenile Football in Ellon and surrounding area, and acquiring and maintaining the best facilities so that the highest levels of football can be accommodated.

The newly formed club sought to respond to the increasing demand for child/youth football opportunities in the Ellon area by providing a smooth transition from young players through to Juvenile eleven a side football in the Aberdeen and District Juvenile Football Leagues and the Scottish Women’s Football North Leagues.

Ellon Meadows Football Club were awarded the prestigious Quality Mark Gold Award by the Scottish Football Association in 2018.

The SFA Quality Mark scheme requires clubs to demonstrate a level of organisation and commitment to quality, ensuring that all coaches are trained and qualified for their respective age groups and that Player Protection measures including full Disclosure Scotland checks for all coaches are in place.

Our Mission Statement is as follows:

• Ellon Meadows Football Club aims to provide a fun, safe and structured environment for children aged 5 to 19 to learn and play football as well as provide a pathway to continue playing beyond 19.

• We will provide and adhere to a code of conduct for all members.

• We will adhere to the rules and regulations as laid out by the Aberdeen & District Juvenile Football Association (ADJFA), Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA) and Scottish Women’s Football (SWF).

• We will allow children of all abilities the opportunity to take part in football.

• We will teach everyone how to enjoy football and being part of a team.

• We encourage everyone to respect themselves, their teammates, their coaches and opposition players & officials.
